Good morning, Spartans! Two Spartans are representing in the 2025 USA Basketball Women’s AmeriCup Team trials! See who they are below.

🔼 14 Years Later… MSU rower Maddie Kieft earned All-America Honorable Mentions from the Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association. This is the first time since 2011 an MSU rower was named an All-American. Kieft manned the three-seat in the varsity eight. She helped the team to a fifth-place finish at the Big Ten Championships, the program’s highest finish since 2014.

🔼 Spartans Represent. Women’s basketball coach Robyn Fralick and forward Grace VanSlooten will be taking part in the 2025 USA Basketball Women's AmeriCup Team trials. The trials begin on June 17 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Fralick will be a court coach. VanSlooten is the first Spartan to attend a Team USA trial since 2017.

🔼 Home Run Hitter. We have 80 days until Michigan State football is back on the field for its season opener on Friday, August 29 against Western Michigan!

Who doesn’t love a one-play scoring drive? Remember when Connor Heyward took it 80 yards to the house when the Spartans played Maryland back in 2018?

🔼 Coming Home. “Playing in front of my parents has meant the world to me.”

The decision to spend his fifth year at Michigan State was a no-brainer for Nicklas Andrews. Coming to East Lansing meant not only competing for championships but playing in front of his family.
