🔼 Instant Impact. We only have 1 day until Michigan State football is back on the field for its season opener on Friday against Western Michigan!
Omari Kelly, who will wear No. 1 for the Spartans this fall, was a First Team All-Conference USA wide receiver at Middle Tennessee State last season with 53 catches for 869 yards and four touchdowns!
🔼 Supporting Youth Soccer. If you’re a youth soccer player coming out to the MSU women’s soccer game today against Buffalo, you’ll get free admission as long as you wear your team jersey! We can’t wait to see you rep your team in the stands.
🔼 Preseason Rankings. Spartans are well-represented in the ITA preseason rankings! Ozan Baris checks in at No. 7 in the preseason singles rankings, while Matt Forbes landed at No. 66. Together, the dynamic duo of Baris and Forbes checks in at No. 32 in the preseason doubles rankings.
In more preseason rankings news, Michigan State will start the season ranked in the USFTCCCA polls! The women’s team checks in at No. 17 to start the season, while the men’s squad made the list at No. 30.
🔼 Welcoming Arkansas. MSU men’s hoops announced this week that it will host the University of Arkansas this season in a non-conference game at the Breslin Center. The game will be held on Saturday, November 8 as part of a two-year, home-and-home series with the Razborbacks. Michigan State has beaten Arkansas on a neutral court both times the two programs have previously clashed.
🔼 Under The Lights. The season is just about here, Spartan fans, and it’s time for our first game preview of a brand-new season! The Spartans will take to the gridiron on Friday with a 7:05 p.m. ET kickoff against Western Michigan in a Stripe the Stadium.
