Josh Thornhill, who wore No. 50 at Michigan State, was one of the best tacklers in Spartan history, totaling 395 from 1998-2001, including 33 for loss and five sacks!

And on top of his on-field success, Thornhill was an Academic All-American during his time in East Lansing.

A trio of Spartan track & field student-athletes have been named College Sports Communicators Academic All-Americans — Katie Osika is a second-team member on the women’s side, while Heath Baldwin and Andrew Nolan captured first and second-team honors, respectively, on the men’s side.
