🔼 Spartan Superstar. We have 37 days until Michigan State football is back on the field for its season opener on Friday, September 4 against Toledo!
John Pingel did it all wearing No. 37 for Michigan State football from 1936-38, playing halfback, quarterback and taking on punting duties for the Spartans. During Pingel’s 1938 All-American season, he rushed for 556 yards, passed for 571 yards and averaged 41.8 yards per punt.
