Spartan Brew 7/17: Getting Better Together

Men's hoops is in the gym!

What else do we have brewing today?

๐Ÿ€ Working together
๐Ÿ‘Ÿ Academic award
๐Ÿ’š And much, much more

๐Ÿ”ผ Teamwork Makes The Dream Work. Michigan State menโ€™s hoops continues to put in the work!

๐Ÿ”ผ Academic Acclaim. Michigan State track and fieldโ€™s Andrew Nolan has been named a College Sports Communicators First Team All-American!

This is the second-straight season that the Spartan men have had a first-team All-American following Olympian Heath Baldwin, who earned a first-team nod in 2024. He was the first Spartan man to capture first-team honors.

๐Ÿ”ผ Spartan Signal Caller. We have 43 days until Michigan State football is back on the field for its season opener on Friday, August 29 against Western Michigan!

Ed Smith threw 43 touchdowns for the Spartans from 1976-78, a program record that stood until 2003. Smithโ€™s 2,226 yards, 20 touchdowns and 57.9 completion percentage in 1978 all led the Big Ten.

๐Ÿ’š ONE BIG THING

๐Ÿ”ผ Competing Together. "We want each other to succeed more than we want ourselves to succeed."

Genevieve and Stephanie Lebster have gone from play meets in their basement to weekends on the B1G stage. Through it all, they are each otherโ€™s biggest cheerleaders.
