🔼 Twice As Nice. For the second time in his Michigan State career, Ryan Talbot is an All-American!
The Spartan decathlete jumped 10 spots on the final day of competition to finish ninth in the field with 7759 points, earning Second Team All-American honors.
🔼 New Seats On The Bench. Michigan State men’s basketball head coach Tom Izzo has announced the addition of Saddi Washington as an assistant coach for the Spartans!
Washington, a Lansing native and the son of former Spartan great Stan Washington, has spent the last eight years at Michigan.
In addition to Washington’s arrival, Izzo announced several other promotions — Doug Wojcik is now the associate head coach, and Jon Borovich and Austin Thornton are now assistant coaches.

Gene Washington is one of the greatest Spartans of all time, hauling in 102 catches for 1,857 yards and 16 touchdowns from 1964-66, winning back-to-back Big Ten and national championships in 1965-66.
The two-time All-American, who wore No. 84 during his time in East Lansing, was a first round draft pick of the Minnesota Vikings in 1967 and was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 2011.
