Kate Stewart-Barnett will rep Team Canada in Scotland!

What else do we have brewing today?

๐Ÿ‘Ÿ  Repping Team Canada
๐Ÿˆ Former All-American
๐Ÿ’š And much, much more

๐Ÿ”ผ Another Lap! Michigan State track and fieldโ€™s Kate Stewart-Barnettโ€™s season isnโ€™t over quite yet โ€” the Spartan All-American is headed to Scotland to compete for Team Canada at the Commonwealth Games from July 23-August 2!

๐Ÿ”ผ First Of His Kind. We have 72 days until Michigan State football is back on the field for its season opener on Friday, September 4 against Toledo!

Brad Van Pelt was a three-sport athlete at Michigan State and a two-time All-American defensive back for the Spartans, becoming the first DB ever to win the Maxwell Award in 1972.

๐Ÿ’š ONE BIG THING

๐Ÿ”ผ Honorable Spartan! Michigan State field hockey graduate Maddie Lawlor was named the national female recipient of the 2026 Big Ten Jackie Robinson Community & Impact Award presented by Discover earlier this spring.

Lawlor was selected as Michigan State's female recipient due to her multi-year involvement with Be The Match, now known as the National Marrow Donor Program (NMDP), and her selfless journey to becoming a bone marrow donor herself.
