๐Ÿ”ผ Strong Showing. Entering the third round before the first cut of the NCAA Championships needing to make up five shots, Michigan State's women's golf team climbed up the standings over the first 14 holes but fell short, tying for 17th place among 30 teams.

Despite the team not advancing to the final round, senior Leila Raines and junior Katie Lu were among the top nine individuals not on advancing teams and will play for the individual championship on Monday.

๐Ÿ”ผ Hard Work Recognized. Spartan softball sophomores Hannah Hawley and Britain Beshears were named to the All-Great Lakes Region team by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA). Hawley is a first-team selection as a designated player/non-pitcher utility while Beshears was named to the Third Team at first base.

Combined, the two all-region players contributed to a strong season for Michigan State in the power department with the Spartans slugging 50 homers in 51 games, good for third in program history in a single season.

๐Ÿ”ผ Ready For Action. Three Spartans are prepared for battle at the NCAA Championships as sophomore Ozan Baris and graduate student Ronald Hohmann III begin singles play Monday while Baris pairs with junior Max Sheldon in the doubles tournament.

MSUโ€™s duo returns to the NCAA Doubles Championships for the second straight year while Ronald Hohmann III will compete in the NCAA Singles Championships for the third time in his career.

๐Ÿ’š ONE BIG THING

๐Ÿ”ผ Senior Day Dub. MSU baseball honored nine of its seniors in their last regular season game, then got significant contributions from them to earn the 11-6 win over Nebraska to close out the season. The Spartans had 14 hits on the day and scored runs in five of the eight innings they batted in, scoring multiple runs each time.

Michigan State finishes the 2024 season 24-27 overall and 11-13 in B1G action, missing the Big Ten Tournament by one game.
