🔼 Finishing Strong. Michigan State track and field rounded out the final day of the Big Ten Outdoor Championships with several podium finishes, including a 1500m title from Lauren Freeland. Freeland was joined by Ryan Talbot as a gold medal winner after he secured his place atop the podium with a first place finish in the decathlon.

The Spartans’ men’s team accumulated 61 points across the weekend, the most for the program in 15 years while the women’s team tallied 25 points across the three-day meet.

🔼 Road Dogs. Spartan baseball took one game in the series on the road against Minnesota over the weekend in a 6-4 victory on Friday. The team will now gear up for the final week of the regular season with a midweek matchup against Eastern Michigan, followed by a three-game series against Nebraska.

🔼 Ready To Roll. Making a seventh NCAA Regional appearance in the last nine years, Michigan State men’s golf will tee off at Finley Golf Club in Chapel Hill, N.C. today for a chance at reaching the NCAA Championships. Behind Ashton McColloch, the All-Big Ten Second Team selection, the Spartans will look to finish as one of the top five teams in its region to move on to Carlsbad, Calif.

Throughout his health journey, assistant coach Mark Van Ameyde has been an inspiration for the baseball team. On the latest episode of Spartans All-Access, watch as Van Ameyde has made his resurgence after undergoing a successful kidney transplant surgery and has slowly rejoined the MSU Baseball program.
