🔼 Prized Pitcher. The Big Ten announced its postseason baseball awards on Tuesday, and Michigan State’s Joseph Dzierwa has been named the Big Ten Pitcher of the Year!

Dzierwa was also named First Team All-Big Ten, and was the only unanimous selection to the First Team. Ryan McKay was named to the Second Team All-Big Ten, while senior Sam Busch was MSU's Big Ten Sportsmanship Award recipient.

🔼 Late Night Defeat. Michigan State baseball fell in its Big Ten Tournament opener on Tuesday, giving up runs in the bottom of the ninth and 10th innings to fall to Nebraska, 5-4.

Ryan McKay and Sam Busch both drove in runs for the Spartans, while Joseph Dzierwa tossed six innings, striking out six and allowing two earned runs. Michigan State will next play top-seeded Oregon on Thursday in Omaha.

🔼 B1G Honors. The accolades continue to roll in for Michigan State track and field’s Kate Stewart-Barnett and Rachel Forsyth — Stewart-Barnett is First Team All-Big Ten and Forsyth has been named to the All-Freshman Team!

🔼 Howard’s Hobey. On April 11, 2025, Isaac Howard became the third Michigan State Spartan to win the Hobey Baker.
