🔼 Onto The Postseason! Michigan State baseball finished off a series win over Illinois State over the weekend with an 18-8 run-rule victory in the regular season finale on Saturday, and will next head to the Big Ten Tournament this week in Omaha!
The Spartans earned the No. 12 seed in the Big Ten Tournament, and will play No. 5 seed Purdue tomorrow at 10 a.m. in game one of the tournament.

🔼 Triple Dip! Michigan State track and field closed out the Big Ten Outdoor Championships over the weekend, with competition highlighted by Kate Stewart-Barnett’s win in the 3,000-meter steeplechase on Saturday!
Stewart-Barnett, who finished with a time of 9:45.32 in hot and windy conditions, now has three Big Ten steeplechase titles.
🔼 Teeing Off! Michigan State men’s golfers Caleb Bond and Ashton McCulloch will tee off in the first round of the NCAA Columbus Regional today at the OSU Golf Club!
The Spartans were among a group of 45 individuals (and 71 teams) selected to play in one of six regionals leading up to the NCAA Championships, which will be held from May 29 to June 3 at the Omni LaCosta Resort & Spa in Carlsbad, Calif.
🔼 Legend Lost. Michigan State football mourns the passing of former All-American halfback and longtime Spartan assistant coach Sherman Lewis, who passed away on Friday. Lewis was 83.
Lewis earned consensus first-team All-America honors as a halfback in 1963 while finishing third in the Heisman Trophy voting, equaling the best-ever finish by a Spartan. Following his professional playing career, he returned to Michigan State as an assistant coach under Hall of Famer Duffy Daugherty in 1969, and remained on the Spartan staff as an assistant coach until 1982.
