🔼 Friday Night Lights! Michigan State football will play a pair of Friday night games inside Spartan Stadium this fall — the home opener against Toledo will be played on Friday, Sept. 4 and Oregon will visit East Lansing on Friday, Nov. 20!

🔼 Postseason Pitch And Putt! Michigan State women’s golf begins play at the NCAA Chapel Hill Regional today at UNC’s Finley Golf Club!

The Spartans have already played once this season at Finley Golf Club, winning the Carolina Challenge Cup at the beginning of April as the only team to finish under par at 8-under.

🔼 Buckeye Battle. Michigan State baseball traveled to Columbus, Ohio over the weekend and took on Ohio State for three games at Bill Davis Stadium, taking Game 2 of the series on Saturday against the Buckeyes, 7-4.

Parker Picot and Nick Williams both homered in the win, while Aidan Donovan tossed seven innings and struck out four.

🔼 Loss of a Legend. Michigan State football mourns the passing of former longtime Spartan coach Morris Watts. He was 88 (1938-2026).

Watts' career spanned more than 50 seasons in coaching, including 12 seasons at Michigan State as the program's offensive coordinator. He served as MSU's offensive coordinator on three separate occasions (1986-90, 1992-94, 1999-2002) and was the interim head coach for the final three games of the 2002 season.
