🔼 Mr. Comeback. Michigan State men’s tennis’ Ozan Baris, whose singles win against No. 19 Illinois cemented the Spartans’ historic comeback victory, is the Big Ten Men’s Tennis Player of the Week!

Baris also picked up a singles win against No. 60 Northwestern to complete a 2-0 week.

🔼 Flipping In Florida. The NCAA Women’s Gymnastics Tournament is set to kick off, with No. 10 Michigan State gymnastics in Gainesville, Fla. to compete in the NCAA Gainesville Regional tomorrow with an opportunity to qualify for the NCAA Championships in Fort Worth, Texas from April 18-20.

The No. 3 seed Spartans are joined in their session at the Gainesville Regional by No. 2 seed Utah, Towson and Maryland. The top two teams from the session will advance to Sunday’s Regional Final against the top two teams from the other session — top-seeded Florida, No. 4 seed Missouri and Georgia.

🔼 (Not So) Sweet 16. The 16th annual Crosstown Showdown didn’t go Michigan State’s way on Wednesday, as the Spartans fell 18-0 to the Lansing Lugnuts, the High A affiliate of the Oakland Athletics.

Michigan State will be back in action tomorrow, hosting Niagara for a three-game series at McLane Stadium.
