🔼 So Long, Spring Ball. Michigan State football wrapped up its spring practice schedule on Saturday, putting on a show for Spartan fans at the Spring Showcase!
🔼 One Stroke Back. Michigan State women’s golf fired a 9-under par 279 in the opening round of the Big Ten Championships to take an 8-shot lead into Day 2 and extended its lead to 11 shots heading into Sunday’s final round, but a 7-over 295 led to a second place finish for the Spartans.
Katie Lu led the Spartans at 4-under, finishing in sixth place.
🔼 Series Win. Michigan State baseball picked up its second Big Ten series win of the season over the weekend, taking two-of-three against Penn State.
The Spartans claimed a narrow 6-5 win in Friday’s series opener before exploding for 11 runs in a 11-5 victory on Saturday that featured 16 Michigan State hits.

🔼 Bests All Over. Michigan State track and field was just about everywhere this past weekend, posting several personal-best performances between the Virginia Challenge, Jim Green Invite and Al Owens Classic.
🔼 Alumni Weekend. Michigan State softball fell in a rubber match to Illinois on Sunday, allowing five Illini runs in the first inning and never getting over the hump in a 6-3 loss.
The Spartans claimed a 6-5 victory on Saturday, which served as Alumni Day for the program.

🔼 Onto The Postseason. No. 18 Michigan State men’s tennis fell 5-2 to No. 37 Michigan in its regular season finale over the weekend, finishing up a historic season at 21-5 overall, the most wins in program history, and 7-2 in Big Ten play.
The Spartans have earned the No. 3 seed in this week’s Big Ten Championships.
🔼 Runners Up. Michigan State men’s golf shot the second-best team round of the entire tournament on Sunday, shooting 1-over 285 to finish in second place as a team at the Illini Spring Collegiate.
Ashton McCulloch was the top finisher for the Spartans, shooting 1-under on Sunday to finish even-par for the weekend and place second individually.
🔼 Senior Day. Michigan State women’s tennis wrapped up its regular season at home over the weekend, dropping a pair of matches to Nebraska and No. 65 Iowa.
Sunday’s match against the Hawkeyes served as Senior Day, with the Spartans celebrating Marlo Schiffman, Nicole Conard and Ayshe Can.
