🔼 Talkin’ Ball. “The guys have been working hard. They’ve been doing a great job coming in and studying film; they’ve been practicing hard. We’ve been pleased with their efforts, learning the defense and system. We’re making good progress.”

🔼 Been A Minute. Michigan State’s Ria Bhakta made a bit of history on Wednesday — the freshman became the first Spartan since 2019 to be named Big Ten Women’s Tennis Player of the Week!

🔼 Back And Forth. Michigan State softball and Western Michigan traded four lead changes on Wednesday night, with the Spartans collecting a few more key hits and outs down the stretch to earn a 4-3 win.
The big swing (swings) in the game came from back-to-back home runs from Hannah Hawley and Sydney Doloszycki in the fifth inning to tie and then give the lead to the Spartans.
Madison Taylor was fantastic on the mound for Michigan State, throwing all seven innings and allowing just three runs (two earned) on three hits.
🔼 Coast-To-Coast. Michigan State track and field will send a contingent west this weekend to compete at the Bryan Clay Invite in Azusa, Calif, while at the same time sending athletes east to the James Madison University Invite.

🔼 At The Summit. The 2024 Women’s Leadership Summit was proud to welcome Andrea Brimmer as this year’s keynote speaker. The summit also included panel speakers featuring three back-to-back Big Ten champions in Gabi Stephen, Justina Gaynor and Makenna Veen, moderated by Lexy Alston.
