🔼 All The Way Back. Down 3-0 to No. 19 Illinois and in danger of dropping its first Big Ten match of the season, No. 18 Michigan State men’s tennis rattled off four straight points to complete the comeback and beat the Illini on Saturday.

The momentum of the win over Illinois carried into Sunday, as the Spartans beat Northwestern, 5-, in Evanston, Ill.

🔼 Walk-Off Winner. Needing a win Sunday to claim its series against Rutgers, Michigan State baseball walked it off in the bottom of the ninth thanks to an RBI single from Ryan McKay to move to 3-3 in conference action.

Landen Lozier was 3-for-5 with a run scored and run driven in out of the leadoff spot in Sunday’s deciding game, while McKay, Jacob Anderson and Greg Ziegler all collected a pair of hits.

🔼 First One. Michigan State softball’s bats were quiet for two of three games at Iowa over the weekend, but exploded for eight runs in Game Two to earn its first Big Ten win of the season.

Hannah Hawley went 3-for-3 with three runs scored and three RBI in the Spartans’ win, and Sydney Doloszycki, Jenae Wash, Mik Anthony and Anna Fox all added one run driven in.

🔼 One Down. Michigan State women’s tennis picked up its first Big Ten win of the season over the weekend, taking down Indiana 4-0 at home.

The Spartans claimed the doubles point before collecting singles wins from Matilde Morais, Liisa Vehvilainen and Natalie Stasny.

🔼 Tough Ending. No. 4 Michigan State hockey saw its season come to an end Sunday night in its NCAA Regional Final matchup with Michigan, 5-2.

Gavin O’Connell scored the first goal of the game for the Spartans to make it 1-0, and Joey Larson scored the other to tie the game at 2-2 in the third period before the Wolverines scored three unanswered goals to win the game.

🔼 And They’re Off. The Stacey Rippetoe Era of Michigan State rowing has officially begun, as all seven Spartan boats made the finals at the Sunshine State Invite over the weekend.
