🔼 Serves Up! No. 1 seed Michigan State men’s tennis begins Big Ten Tournament action today, taking on No. 9 seed Indiana at noon ET in Ojai, California!
The Hoosiers took down No. 8 seed Oregon, 4-0, on Wednesday to advance to Thursday’s quarterfinals against the Spartans. Michigan State beat Indiana, 4-1, in a regular season matchup last weekend.
🔼 Around The Bend. Michigan State softball fell in a midweek contest at Notre Dame on Wednesday, 9-1.
Sophia Grillo had two hits for the Spartans, including a solo home run in the second inning. Michigan State will close its regular season schedule with six straight conference matchups at Secchia Stadium over the next two weeks.
🔼 Fought The Irish. Michigan State baseball hosted Notre Dame on Wednesday at Jeff Ishbia Field at McLane Stadium, falling 3-2 to the Irish.
After allowing three runs in the top of the first inning, the Spartans battled back with a two-run single from CJ Deckinga in the bottom of the second frame. The two teams failed to score over the final seven innings of the game.
