🔼 Movin’ On. No. 8 seed Michigan State men’s basketball put together a fantastic second half against No. 9 seed Minnesota in Thursday’s second round matchup in the Big Ten Tournament, winning 77-67 to set up a quarterfinal matchup with No. 1 seed Purdue.

A.J. Hoggard led the Spartans with 17 points and six assists, and Tyson Walker joined him in double figures with 15 points. Malik Hall, Jaden Akins and Tre Holloman all scored nine points.

🔼 Title Run Starts Now. No. 1 seed Michigan State hockey begins the single-elimination Big Ten Tournament tomorrow at 6:30 p.m. at Munn Ice Arena against No. 7 seed Ohio State.

The Buckeyes made their way to the semifinal round of the tournament by upsetting No. 2 seed Wisconsin in a best-of-three series last weekend.

🔼 Home Opener. After 14 straight games on the road to begin its season, Michigan State baseball is finally at home this weekend, hosting Evansville for a three-game series starting today at 3:35 p.m.

The Aces are 8-8 on the season and are battles-tested, having played at Mississippi State last weekend and traveling to Vanderbilt for a midweek matchup two weeks ago.

🔼 Carolina On Our Mind. Michigan State softball is in Columbia, S.C. this weekend for four games at the Garnet & Black Invitational, hosted by No. 22/23 South Carolina.

The Spartans take on conference foe Minnesota and South Carolina today, before matchups with NC State on Saturday and Boston on Sunday wrap up the tournament.

🔼 Final Tune-Up. No. 8 Michigan State gymnastics completes its regular season this weekend, traveling to Normal, Ill. tomorrow to compete against Illinois State and Lindenwood at the ISU Tri Meet.

The Spartans will host the Big Ten Championships on Saturday, March 23 at Jenisen Field House.

🔼 Gimme Three. No. 71 Michigan State women’s tennis opens up Big Ten action this weekend, playing at Penn State today at noon and hosting Ohio State on Sunday at 11 a.m.

Sandwiched in between the two conferences matchups is a road contest at Youngstown State on Saturday at 10 a.m.
