🔼 B1G Champs! No. 8 Michigan State men’s basketball won 91-84 on the road at Iowa on Thursday night, and in doing so, claimed the outright Big Ten regular season championship!

Down by seven at halftime, the Spartans scored 61 second-half points to claim the 11th Big Ten title of the Tom Izzo Era and the 16th Big Ten win of the season, which ties a program record.

Michigan State closes out the regular season at home this Sunday at noon against Michigan.

🔼 B1G Tournament. No. 6 seed Michigan State women’s basketball fell in the second round of the Big Ten Tournament on Thursday to No. 11 seed Iowa, 74-61.

Three Spartans scored in double figures — Julia Ayrault (17), Grace VanSlooten (12) and Ines Sotelo (11). VanSlooten also added 10 rebounds.

🔼 End Of The Trip. Michigan State baseball closes out its Greenville, S.C. residency this weekend, playing the final four games of an eight-game stay at Fluor Field.

The Spartans have matchups against Cornell, UAB (x2) and Winthrop on deck.

🔼 Over To Ohio. Michigan State is set for its final weekend of play before Big Ten action this weekend, traveling to Oxford, Ohio for the Miami Tournament.

The Spartans have two games against Miami (Ohio) and two against Northern Kentucky.

🔼 B1G Time. The postseason is here for Michigan State wrestling, which is in Evanston, Ill. this weekend for the Big Ten Championships.

Sessions 1 and 2 will take place on Saturday, with Sessions 3 and 4 the following day.

🔼 Conference Clash. Michigan State men’s tennis opens up Big Ten play at home this weekend, welcoming both Washington and Oregon to the MSU Indoor Tennis Center.

The Huskies are in town today for a 5 p.m. matchup, before the Spartans host the Ducks on Sunday at 10 a.m.

🔼 B1G Road. Michigan State women’s tennis also opens up its Big Ten schedule this weekend, doing so on the road.

The Spartans visit Iowa City today to face No. 52 Iowa before traveling to Nebraska to play the No. 44 Huskers on Sunday.

🔼 Sweet Home Alabama. No. 7 Michigan State gymnastics heads south to Huntsville, Ala. this weekend for Elevate the Stage, competing against No. 14 Alabama, No. 24 North Carolina and No. 6 California at the event.

💚 ONE BIG THING

🔼 Coming Home. “Playing in front of my parents has meant the world to me.”

The decision to spend his fifth year at Michigan State was a no-brainer for Nicklas Andrews. Coming to East Lansing meant not only competing for championships but playing in front of his family.
