🔼 Back-To-Back-To-Back! No. 2 Michigan State hockey clinched its third consecutive Big Ten regular season title on Thursday night, beating Minnesota on the road, 7-1!
Porter Martone, Tiernan Shoudy and Ryker Lee each scored two goals for the Spartans, who are back in action today at 8 p.m. to close out the regular season against the Gophers.
🔼 Finale Fun! No. 8 Michigan State men’s basketball won its final game at the Breslin Center this season on Thursday, scoring 60 second-half points in a 91-87 win over Rutgers!
Coen Carr and Jeremy Fears Jr. both scored 21 points to lead the Spartans, followed by Jaxon Kohler (15 points) and Carson Cooper (14 points). Michigan State closes the regular season this Sunday at Michigan.
🔼 Tournament Tilt. No. 7 seed Michigan State women’s basketball fell to No. 10 seed Illinois in the second round of the Big Ten Tournament on Thursday despite a career-high 30 points from Kennedy Blair.
Blair was the first Spartan to reach the 30-point plateau since Julia Ayrault scored 32 against Richmond on Dec. 21, 2024. She also added six rebounds and five assists. Grace VanSlooten scored 13 points with nine rebounds. Jalyn Brown added 12 points for MSU.
🔼 Just Short. Michigan State softball lost to NC State on Thursday in Raleigh, N.C., with the Wolfpack hitting a bases-loaded single in the bottom of the seventh to win in walkoff fashion.
Zoie Bernard homered for the Spartans, who have matchups against Stetson and Mercer today.
🔼 B1G Time! Michigan State baseball opens Big Ten play this weekend, traveling to Nebraska for a three-game series against the Cornhuskers at Haymarket Park!
