Michigan State Athletics mourns the loss of former lacrosse and field hockey coach Rich Kimball.

Following one season as a Spartan assistant coach, Kimball was named head coach of MSU's men's lacrosse team prior to the 1981 season. The winningest coach in Michigan State lacrosse history, he posted a 126-112 record in 16 seasons, guiding the Spartans to three NCAA Tournaments. In addition to his lacrosse duties, Kimball coached the Spartan women's field hockey program for seven seasons from 1982-88.  

🔼 B1G Performers! The Big Ten announced its women’s basketball postseason honors on Tuesday!

Grace VanSlooten and Kennedy Blair each earned second team All-Big Ten honors from both the coaches and the media, while Rashunda Jones earned All-Defensive team by the media.

🔼 Tuesday Tilt. Michigan State baseball fell in its Tuesday game against Winthrop, 5-2, in Greenville, S.C.

Ryan McKay and Dayton Murphy each had a hit and a run scored to lead the Spartans’ offense against the Eagles. Michigan State finishes up its stay in Greenville today, with No. 12 Clemson in town for a 6 p.m. first pitch.

🔼 Back Home Soon. Michigan State men’s tennis concluded its trip to the desert on Tuesday, dropping a 4-0 decision at No. 29 Arizona.

The Spartans return home this weekend, hosting Nebraska and Wisconsin in their Big Ten openers.
