Spartan Brew 3/3: Back-To-Back B1G Champs!
MSU hockey is once again the regular season champ of the Big Ten!
Good morning, Spartans! Michigan State football summer camp registration is now open!
What else do we have brewing today?
🏒 Back-to-back
🏀 Pulled away late
💚 And much, much more

🔼 Back-To-Back! No. 3 Michigan State hockey claimed its second consecutive Big Ten regular season title over the weekend, picking up a pair of wins on the road at Notre Dame in the final weekend of regular season play.
The Spartans, who were selected No. 1 in the preseason Big Ten poll, win back-to-back regular-season titles for the first time since the start of the Big Ten Conference in 2013-14, and for the fourth time in program history. The first three occurrences happened in the old CCHA: 1984-85 and 1985-86, 1988-89 and 1989-90, and 1997-98 and 1998-99.

🔼 Another Ranked Win. No. 8 Michigan State men’s basketball won its fifth straight game and improved to 24-5 overall and 15-3 in Big Ten play with a 71-62 win over No. 11 Wisconsin on Sunday at the Breslin Center.
Jaden Akins led the way with 19 points, while Jaxon Kohler recorded his seventh double-double of the season with 10 points and 16 rebounds. Jase Richardson added 11 points in 20 minutes.

🔼 Tourney Time. No. 23/22 Michigan State women’s basketball closed out its regular season on Saturday with a 73-58 win over Minnesota on Senior Day at the Breslin Center.
The Spartans led by just one point heading into the fourth quarter, but outscored the Gophers 27-13 in the final 10 minutes to win comfortably.
With the regular-season finale victory, Michigan State improves to 21-8 overall this season and 11-7 in Big Ten action.

🔼 Get The Brooms Out. Michigan State baseball swept its way through its first weekend in Greenville, S.C., beating Harvard in three consecutive games at Fluor Field, home of the Greenville Drive.
With Sunday's win, Michigan State improved to 9-1 for the first time since 2016, as the Spartans swept their first series of the season, winning all three games this weekend by run-rule in scoring 14, 11 and 13 runs in the three games.

🔼 B1G Races. Michigan State track and field competed at the Big Ten Indoor Championships over the weekend — the Spartan women finished ninth with 32 points, while the men finished 15th with nine points.
Rachel Forsyth had a solid showing in her first B1G Indoor Championships, leading the women’s DMR to a second-place finish on Friday and finishing fifth in the women’s 3,000-meter on Saturday.

💚 ONE BIG THING
🔼 Owning His Development. “We have a great life here and its hard work, definitely, but it pays off when you’re winning games and having fun.”
Since transferring over the summer, Charlie Stramel has put in the work—both on his own and with our coaches—to keep developing. Now, he feels stronger than ever and a better hockey player because of it.
