🔼 Red Hot. No. 8 Michigan State men’s basketball took a 22-point lead into halftime on Sunday against No. 17 Michigan at the Breslin Center and cruised to a 79-62 win to close out the regular season.

Tre Holloman scored a career-high 20 points for the Spartans, who finish the regular season at 26-5 overall, 17-3 in Big Ten play and riding a seven-game win streak.

🔼 Good In Greenville. Michigan State baseball won another three games this weekend in Greenville, S.C. against Cornell, UAB and Winthrop, improving to 12-3 this season.

The Spartans’ win over Cornell in the weekend opener on Friday was the 450th of head coach Jake Boss Jr.’s career, the third-most in program history behind John Kobs (576) and Danny Litwhiler (489).

🔼 Win Streak. Michigan State softball won the final three games of its weekend in Oxford, Ohio at the Miami Tournament, picking up a pair of victories over Northern Kentucky and one over Miami (Ohio) in that stretch.

🔼 Headed To NCAAs. Michigan State wrestling competed at the Big Ten Championships over the weekend, with three redshirt freshmen earning bids to the NCAA Championships — Remy Coton, Caleb Weiand and Max Vanadia.

🔼 B1G Start. No. 47 Michigan State men’s tennis got off to a perfect start to Big Ten action over the weekend, beating both No. 49 Washington and No. 54 Oregon in East Lansing.

The Spartans beat the Huskies, 5-2, on Friday and Oregon, 4-2, on Sunday.

🔼 Levitate At Elevate. No. 8 Michigan State gymnastics competed at Elevate the Stage on Sunday in Huntsville, Ala., finishing second with a team score of 197.150 among a talented field of No. 6 California, No. 14 Alabama and No. 24 North Carolina.

🔼 Happy Upset. Michigan State women’s tennis earned a 4-2 upset win on the road at No. 44 Nebraska on Sunday, the 100th career victory for Spartan head coach Kim Bruno.

Michigan State won the doubles point, and singles victories from Ellie Blackford, Matilde Morais and Oriana Parkins-Godwin.
