🔼 Everyone In. No. 16/17 Michigan State women’s basketball earned its 18th win of the season on Sunday at Northwestern, taking down the Wildcats 89-75 despite trailing 20-15 after the first quarter.
Five Spartans scored in double figures — Grace VanSlooten (20), Nyla Hampton (16), Julia Ayrault (14), Theryn Hallock (13) and Emma Shumate (12).

🔼 Finished Strong. No. 2 Michigan State hockey bounced back from a series-opening loss to No. 11 Ohio State and earned a win on Saturday to travel home with a split against the Buckeyes.
After a scoreless opening frame, MSU scored three times in the second period, and got an empty netter in the waning moments for a 4-1 final.

🔼 Streak Snapped. No. 7 Michigan State men’s basketball had its 13-game win streak snapped on Saturday, falling 70-64 to USC in Los Angeles.
Jeremy Fears scored 12 points and dished out six assists to lead the Spartans, followed by Jaden Akins with 11 points.

🔼 Back-And-Forth. No. 5 Michigan State gymnastics dropped its first Big Ten competition of the season over the weekend out on the West Coast, losing to No. 6 UCLA by a razor-thin margin of 197.300-197.200.
The Spartans broke 197.000 for the second time this season and earned their second-highest score of the season with their 197.200.

🔼 Senior Celebration. Michigan State wrestling got back in the win column on Sunday, taking down Clarion, 30-8, on Senior Day inside Jenison Field House.
The Spartans celebrated the careers of Tristan Lujan, Andy Hampton, Jay Nivison, Marty Larkin and Nick West, with all three seniors in Sunday's lineup (Lujan, Nivison, Larkin) winning their respective bouts.

🔼 Sunday Serves. Michigan State women’s tennis ran its win streak to four matches on Sunday, taking down a pair of in-state teams in Western Michigan and Eastern Michigan.
The Spartans gave up just one point over the course of the two matchups.

🔼 Road Battles. No. 16 Michigan State men’s tennis dropped a pair of matches on the road this weekend, the first on Friday at No. 19 Tennessee by a narrow 4-3 margin, and on Sunday at Clemson, 5-2.

🔼 Successful Split. Michigan State track and field was split between the Meyo Invitational In South Bend, Ind. and the PNC Lenny Lyles Invitational in Louisville over the weekend, with the distance runners in South Bend providing plenty of fireworks for the program.

🔼 First Pitch. Michigan State baseball hosted its 19th-annual First Pitch Dinner Sunday afternoon at the Kellogg Hotel and Conference Center, filling the ballroom with nearly 500 spirited Spartans fans.
This year's event featured Lance Parrish and Dan Petry, two members of the 1984 Detroit Tigers World Series Champions, as the keynote speakers, while honoring Dr. Al and Mary Kay Bolles as Alumni of the Year.
