🔼 Lit It Up. Michigan State men’s basketball shot 56% overall and 48% from deep in a 92-61 win over Penn State on Thursday night to earn its first Big Ten win of the season.

Malik Hall tied a career-high with 24 points, Tyson Walker was right behind him with 22 points of his own, and Jaden Akins and Tre Holloman both scored 10.

The Spartans have now won five in a row heading into a Sunday night matchup at Northwestern.

🔼 MSU vs. USA. No. 8 Michigan State hockey takes a break from NCAA action tonight for a matchup against the 18u US National Team Development Program.

The US National Team Development Program is the pinnacle of USA Hockey’s amateur player development program, selecting the top 22 players in the 17u and 18u age groups to train and develop together.

🔼 Back At It. The undefeated Michigan State wrestling team is back on the mat in a dual format for the first time since Dec. 16 as it takes on American and Ohio tonight and tomorrow, respectively, in East Lansing.

The Eagles are 4-4 on the season, most recently losing 38-0 to No. 16 Navy, while the Bobcats are 4-1 and have won two straight duals against Drexel and Gardner-Webb.

🔼 Watch Out! No. 11 Michigan State women’s gymnastics begins its season tonight at the Super 16 in Las Vegas against No. 1 Oklahoma, No. 6 Michigan and No. 9 Kentucky.

The hype for the Spartans, who were picked to finish second in the Big Ten this year, is high — former gymnastics Olympian Bridget Sloan and lead Big Ten Analyst for NCAA Gymnastics Olivia Karas both chose the Spartans as one of their teams to watch this season on the Flipping Out podcast:

“I jus think in the world of gymnastics, Michigan State has truly shown the most incredible program growth in the last five years. I think they’re just continuing to go up.”
