📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Best Day At Breslin. Michigan State women’s basketball earned a 21-point conference win over the weekend. Against archrival Michigan. On Alumni Day. In front of over 9,000 fans. While celebrating the 2014 Big Ten championship team. Doesn’t get much better than that!

DeeDee Hagemann scored 20 points to lead the way, with Julia Ayrault right behind her with 19 points.

🔼 Gopher Games. Michigan State hockey split a pair of games against Minnesota over the weekend to stay on top of the Big Ten standings.

Down 2-0 heading into the third period of Game 1, the Spartans got goals from Griffin Jurecki, Karsen Dorwart and Daniel Russell in the period to steal a win from the Gophers. Russell’s goal came with just four seconds left on the clock.

🔼 Upset On The Mat. Michigan State wrestling picked up its first Big Ten win of the season on Friday night, upsetting No. 17 Wisconsin, 22-15!

Pins from Chase Saldate (157 pounds) and Josh Terrill (heavyweight), as well as a major from Kael Wisler (197) greatly helped the cause.

🔼 Heptathlon Hype. The Michigan State track & field heptathlon squad led a successful weekend for the team across two events!

Heath Baldwin won the heptathlon at the PNC Lenny Lyles Invite in Louisville with 5,899 points, while Ryan Talbot finished third and Dylan Terryberry finished eighth.

🔼 A Perfect Day. No. 14 Michigan State gymnastics earned a big win over No. 20 Iowa on Sunday afternoon, 197.400 - 195.600.

But we’ve buried the lede — Nikki Smith became the second Spartan this season to earn a perfect 10.000 for her floor routine!

🎥 HIGHLIGHT: PERFECTION from Nikki Smith

🔼 First One, Check. No. 21 Michigan State men’s tennis picked up a win in its first match of its west coast trip on Sunday, a 5-2 victory over UC Santa Barbara.

It was a comeback win for the Spartans, who were down 2-0 to begin the match. Ozan Baris, Ronald Hohmann, Aristotelis Thanos, Sebastien Collard and Max Sheldon all earned singles wins.

Next up for Michigan State is a matchup with Pepperdine today at 5 p.m.

🔼 Comeback Falls Short. Michigan State men’s basketball made a late run to cut the lead against No. 13 Wisconsin on Friday night but couldn’t get over the hump in a 81-66 loss on the road against the Badgers.

A.J. Hoggard led the Spartans with 19 points and four assists, with Malik Hall (13 points), Tyson Walker (11) and Jaden Akins (10) joining him in double figures.
