🔼 Coaching Staff Update. Michigan State head football coach Jonathan Smith has named Joe Rossi as the Spartans’ Secchia Family Defensive Coordinator and linebackers coach.

Rossi comes to Michigan State after serving as the defensive coordinator and linebackers coach at Minnesota, where he put together top-10 defenses in three of his six seasons in Minneapolis.

🔼 Marquee Matchup. Michigan State men’s basketball matches up with yet another highly-ranked team tomorrow, as No. 6 Baylor travels north to play the Spartans at Little Caesars Arena in Detroit at 2 p.m.

This is the fourth ranked opponent for Michigan State already this season, and third top-10 team to tip it up with the Spartans.

🔼 In-State Battle. After more than a week away from the court, Michigan State women’s basketball welcomes in Central Michigan for a 2 p.m. tip this Sunday.

The Spartans are 6-0 all-time versus the Chippewas, including a 84-54 win last season in Mount Pleasant in which Gabby Elliott, Isaline Alexander and Moira Joiner all scored 17 points.

🔼 Keep It Rolling. The 4-0 Michigan State wrestling team puts its undefeated record on the line tomorrow night at Clarion University!

The trip to Pennsylvania this weekend will serve as the final tune-up before the Spartans head to the Midlands Championships on Dec. 29-30 in Hoffman Estates, Illinois.

🔼 Concessions Update. Michigan State Athletics has announced that alcohol sales will be implemented at Breslin Center for men’s and women’s basketball and at Munn Ice Arena for hockey in 2024.
