As we close out 2025, it’s a time for reflection – both for what we’ve accomplished as well as what is yet to come.
Looking back, 2025 was full of Spartan success. Men’s basketball and hockey captured Big Ten titles last winter and brought our Spartan community together in support and celebration of their championship efforts. Women’s gymnastics and women’s soccer reached new levels of achievement, with both programs finishing among the top 8 teams in the nation. Individually, our student-athletes performed at exceptional levels, highlighted by Isaac Howard winning the Hobey Baker Award. These are just a few of the many Spartan teams and student-athletes who have made us proud on the field of competition.”

🔼 Championship Claimed! No. 24 Michigan State women’s basketball claimed its second tournament title of the season on Monday night, beating No. 15 Ole Miss in the championship game of the Cherokee Invitational in North Carolina, 66-49!
Grace VanSlooten led the Spartans in their first win over a ranked team this season with 16 points and 10 rebounds, followed by Isaline Alexander (14 points) and Rashunda Jones (13 points) in double figures.
