🔼 Ice Is Nice. No. 8 Michigan State hockey is back on the ice for its first regular season games of 2024 this weekend, heading to Happy Valley to take on No. 20 Penn State in an important Big Ten series.

The Spartans and Nittany Lions have placed twice already this season, tying Game 1 of a series in early November before Michigan State took Game 2, 5-3.

🔼 Chance To Win It. Michigan State men’s basketball had the ball with a chance to tie the game late on the road against No. 10 Illinois, but couldn’t get the basket it needed in a 71-68 loss.

The Spartan starters carried the load, scoring 64 of the team’s 68 points. Tyson Walker led the way with 17 points, followed by A.J. Hoggard with 16, Malik Hall with 14 and Jaden Akins with 13.

🔼 Buckeye Battle. The red-hot Michigan State women’s basketball team will look to keep its momentum rolling this weekend at Ohio State.

The Spartans have won five of their last six games, their lone loss coming on the road by three points at No. 4 Iowa. Over that six-game span, Michigan State has outscored opponents by nearly 14 points per game.

No. 14 Michigan State gymnastics continues to compete with some of the top teams in the country — a week after taking on No. 1 Oklahoma, No. 6 Michigan and No. 9 Kentucky in Las Vegas, the Spartans are at the Sprouts Farmers Market Collegiate Quad with No. 19 BYU, NC State and No. 6 Cal!
