🔼 Balanced Effort. Michigan State men’s basketball is officially in the win column, beating Southern Indiana 74-51 on Thursday night to move to 1-1 on the season.
Tyson Walker again led the Spartans in scoring with 14 points, with Jaden Akins right behind him with 13 of his own.

The Bobcats are 9-7-5 on the season, and qualified for the NCAA Tournament thanks to the program’s first MAC Tournament championship on Nov. 5 as the conference’s No. 6 seed.

The Raiders are 0-1 so far, losing their season opener against Southern Indiana on Monday.
🔼 Top-20 Battle. No. 11 Michigan State men’s hockey begins a four-game home stand this weekend with a pair of games against No. 17 Penn State.
The Spartans are 2-0 so far in Big Ten play, scoring 12 goals in a two-game sweep of Ohio State last weekend. Penn State played Notre Dame to a pair of ties in its Big Ten opener a week ago.
