🔼 Flying High. Michigan State men’s basketball is 2-0 thanks to a 96-60 win over Niagara on Thursday night at the Breslin Center!

Jaxon Kohler led the way for the Spartans, collecting the team’s first double-double of the season with 20 points and 13 rebounds off the bench. Jase Richardson (12), Frankie Fidler (11), Tre Holloman (11) and Jaden Akins (10) all joined him in double figures.

🔼 B1G Time. No. 4 Michigan State hockey opens up Big Ten play this weekend, hosting No. 13 Ohio State for a pair of games tonight and tomorrow.

The Buckeyes are unbeaten so far this season with a 7-0-1 record.

This weekend will also be the start of the annual Spartans Full Strength initiative, as Michigan State puts a spotlight on cancer awareness and honors those who have been affected by the disease.

🔼 Let’s Do That Again. Fresh off a 65-point win over Oakland on Tuesday, Michigan State women’s basketball is back on the court tonight, hosting Yale at 7 p.m. at the Breslin Center.

The Bulldogs also won their season opener earlier this week, a close 64-61 victory over Monmouth in New Haven, Conn.

🔼 Valiant Effort. No. 5 seed Michigan State men’s soccer battled until the final whistle on Thursday in its Big Ten Tournament quarterfinal matchup against No. 4 seed Washington, losing on PKs, 5-3, after playing to a 0-0 draw through regulation.

🔼 Another One Tonight. Michigan State volleyball fell on the road Thursday night in four sets at Maryland.

Taylor Preston led the Spartans with 12 kills, followed by Zuzanna Kulig with seven and Akasha Anderson with six.

Michigan State has an opportunity for a quick bounce-back today, as it travels to play at Rutgers at 7 p.m.

🔼 Home Sweet Home. Michigan State wrestling is at home this weekend for the first time this season, hosting the Michigan State Open all day tomorrow at Jenisen Field House.

🔼 Fast Freshman. Fresh off a fourth-place finish at the Big Ten Championships, Michigan State’s Rachel Forsyth has been named the Big Ten Women’s Cross Country Freshman of the Year!
