🔼 Fabulous Freshman. The Big Ten Conference has announced its postseason field hockey awards, and Michigan State’s Carmen Pucheta has been named the Big Ten Freshman of the Year!

On top of her Freshman of the Year honor, Pucheta was also named All-Big Ten First Team and to the All-Freshman Team.

🔼 Out East. Michigan State volleyball heads out on a two-match road trip today, playing at Maryland tonight at 8 p.m. before traveling to Rutgers tomorrow for a 7 p.m. matchup.

The Terrapins are 1-11 so far in Big Ten play, while the Scarlet Knights are seeking their first conference win at 0-12.

🔼 Split Squad. Michigan State men’s tennis is split between a pair of tournaments this weekend, competing at both the ITA Sectionals in Fort Worth, Texas and the Big Ten Indoor Championships in Madison, Wis.
