🔼 Historic Start! No. 23 Michigan State women’s basketball set a program record for points in a single game on Tuesday, winning 125-39 over Mercyhurst in its season opener inside the Breslin Center!
The Spartans had seven players in double figures — Theryn Hallock (19), Grace VanSlooten (18), Rashunda Jones (15), Amy Terrian (15), Kennedy Blair (14), Emma Shumate (14) and Jalyn Brown (13).

🔼 Soccer Superstars. Michigan State women’s soccer was all over the Big Ten’s annual postseason awards, which were announced on Tuesday!
Kennedy Bell was named the Big Ten Forward of the Year and earned a First Team All-Big Ten nod, and was joined by Emerson Sargeant, Kayla Briggs and Maggie Illig on that team. Bella Najera was named to the Second Team.

🔼 Top Spartans. The first PNC Achievers Student-Athletes of the Month for the 2025-26 season are Taylah Holdem (volleyball), Zac Kelly (men’s soccer) and Michael Masunas (football)!
