🔼 Happy Hoops Season! The wait is officially over — Michigan State men’s basketball tips off its regular season tonight at the Breslin Center against Monmouth at 7 p.m.!

🔼 B1G Finish. A quartet of Michigan State cross country runners earned All-Big Ten honors at the Big Ten Championships over the weekend — Rachel Forsyth, Kaitlyn Hynes, Andrew Nolan and Riley Hough.

As a group, the Spartan men finished fourth and the women finished sixth.

🔼 Off And Grappling. Michigan State wrestling got off to a good start on Saturday, winning 20-12 over American to begin its season with a dual win.

The Spartans won six matches — Andy Hampton (133 pounds), Clayton Jones (149), Braden Stauffenberg (157), Ceasar Garza (174), Luke Daly (184) and Remy Cotton (197).

🔼 Familiar Territory. Michigan State women’s tennis competed at home for the second straight weekend, this time at the Spartan Invite, winning four singles matches on the tournament’s final day.

🔼 Home Heartbreaker. Michigan State men’s soccer and Rutgers played scoreless for 83 minutes on Sunday, until the Scarlet Knights found the back of the net to earn a 1-0 win on the Spartans’ Senior Day.

Michigan State finishes the regular season at 5-7-4 overall and 4-4-2 in Big Ten play, and is the No. 5 seed in this week’s Big Ten Tournament. The Spartans will play No. 4 seed Washington on Thursday at 5 p.m. in Bridgeview, Ill.

🔼 Tournament Heartbreak. No. 4 seed Michigan State women’s soccer fell to No. 5 seed Rutgers, 2-1, in overtime in the Big Ten Tournament quarterfinals on Saturday.

The loss was just the Spartans’ second of the season, who are now 12-2-5.

Michigan State will now await their NCAA Tournament seed, set to be announced during the NCAA selection show at 4 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 11. The show will stream on the front page of NCAA.com.

🔼 Double Dip. Michigan State volleyball hosted a pair of Big Ten opponents at the Breslin Center over the weekend, falling to No. 15 Minnesota in three sets and Ohio State in four sets.

The Spartans are now on the road for their next two matches, visiting Maryland and Rutgers next weekend.

🔼 Spittoon Swing. Michigan State football jumped out to an early 10-0 lead over No. 13 Indiana on Saturday but couldn’t hold onto it, losing 47-10.

Nick Marsh had another impressive day for the Spartans, catching five passes for 78 yards and a touchdown.

🔼 Serving It Up. Michigan State men’s tennis finished up play at the Notre Dame Fighting Irish Mini Duals on Sunday, coming away with a pair of wins against Louisville.

The Spartans are busy again next weekend, competing in each of the Big Ten Indoor Championships, ITA Conference Masters and ITA Sectionals.

🔼 Not Enough O. Michigan State field hockey fell in its regular season finale on Friday, 1-0, at Indiana.

The game was scoreless through three quarters, until the Hoosiers found the game-winning goal with 10 minutes left on the clock.
