🔼 Hoops Is Here! No. 22 Michigan State men’s basketball officially begins the 2025-26 regular season today, hosting Colgate at 7 p.m. inside the Breslin Center!

🔼 Movin’ On! No. 9 Michigan State advanced into the Big Ten semifinals with a 1-0 victory over seventh-seeded Northwestern on Sunday afternoon at Folk Field in West Lafayette, Indiana!

The Spartans will now head to St. Louis for the league semifinals, which begin on Thursday afternoon. Michigan State will take on third-seeded UCLA. The teams met in East Lansing back in late September and settled on a 1-1 deadlock.

🔼 Spartan Sprint. Michigan State men’s cross country ran to its best finish at the Big Ten Championships since 2016 on Friday morning, earning second place at Forest Akers East Golf Course in East Lansing.

The Spartan women finished in fifth place in the team standings.

Riley Hough, Thomas Westphal and Rachel Forsyth all earned First Team All-Big Ten nods in their respective races.

🔼 B1G Time Tennis. Michigan State men’s tennis’ David Saye doubled up at the Big Ten Individual Championships over the weekend in Madison, winning the singles title and partnering with Mitchell Sheldon to also win the doubles title!

🔼 Saturday Surge. Michigan State split a pair of Big Ten home matches over the weekend, falling in a tight five-set marathon to No. 10 Purdue on Friday night before bouncing back and sweeping Rutgers on Saturday.

The Spartans are now 16-6 overall and 6-6 in Big Ten play, and improve to 10-2 at home.

🔼 Gopher Game. Michigan State football led 17-10 with under two minutes remaining at Minnesota on Saturday, but ultimately fell to the Gophers in overtime, 23-20.

Making his first career start, redshirt freshman quarterback Alessio Milivojevic completed 20-of-28 passes for 311 yards and one touchdown. Redshirt senior Elijah Tau-Tolliver led the Spartans on the ground with a season-high 127 yards on 11 carries, including an 85-yard run in the fourth quarter that set up MSU's then go-ahead touchdown.

🔼 Home Court. Michigan State women's tennis closed out their final home tournament of the season on Sunday, wrapping up the Spartan Invitational, presented by Auto Owner's Insurance, at the MSU Indoor Tennis Center.

🔼 Closed Out. Michigan State field hockey wrapped up its 2025 season over the weekend, dropping a pair of games to No. 2 Northwestern and Central Michigan at Ralph Young Field.

🔼 All Square. Michigan State men’s soccer battled Rutgers to a 1-1 tie in Piscataway, N.J. on Friday night, with Richie Ludwig scoring the tying goal for the Spartans in the 81st minute of action.

🔼 Spartan Ventures! At Friday's public meeting, Michigan State University's Board of Trustees authorized MSU President Kevin Guskiewicz to enter into an Affiliation Agreement with a new non-profit, tax-exempt corporation to be known as Spartan Ventures, designed to advance, promote and support MSU's department of athletics.

The establishment of Spartan Ventures modernizes Michigan State Athletics and demonstrates the department's commitment to operating on the leading edge of the new landscape of college athletics. It will strengthen MSU Athletics' long-term competitiveness, expand opportunities for student-athletes, and increase innovation in how the university engages with fans, partners and communities.
