Good morning! And HAPPY THANKSGIVING to all of the Spartans out there!

We know today will be full of turkey, pie, some backyard football, and then maybe another slice of pie, so we’ll keep today short and sweet!

Sweet…kind of like our third slice of pie!

🔼 Tourney Champs! Michigan State women’s basketball captured the Acrisure Classic crown on Wednesday with a 78-70 win over Vanderbilt in Palm Springs, Calif.!

Julia Ayrault (24 points, 12 rebounds) and Grace VanSlooten (25 points, 10 rebounds) both registered double-doubles, and VanSlooten crossed the 1,000-point threshold for her career in the win.

🔼 Maui Madness. Michigan State men’s basketball closed out its Maui Invitational run with a thrilling 94-91 overtime win over No. 12 North Carolina on Wednesday night!

Tre Holloman led a balanced scoring effort for the Spartans with 19 points, followed by Jaden Akins (14), Coen Carr (14), Jeremy Fears (13), Frankie Fidler (13) and Xavier Booker (12).

🔼 Out On Top. Michigan State volleyball picked up a win in its final home match of the regular season on Wednesday, beating Northwestern in four sets.

The Spartans have won five of their last six matches with one more remaining — a trip to No. 7 Wisconsin on Saturday.

🔼 Turkey Trot. Michigan State freshman Rachel Forsyth has been named the Great Lakes Region Women’s Cross Country Runner of the Year!
