🔼 Milestone Hit. Michigan State women’s basketball fought back from a 16-point third quarter deficit against Cal on Tuesday, winning 78-72 to improve to 7-0 on the season.
Julia Ayrault scored a season-high 22 points to lead the Spartans and became the 31st member of the Michigan State 1,000-point club in the process.
The Spartans will play for the Acrisure Classic championship today at 4:30 p.m. ET against Vanderbilt in Palm Springs, Calif.
🔼 Rally Falls Short. Michigan State men’s basketball fell in its second game of the Maui Invitational on Tuesday, 71-63, to Memphis.
Jase Richardson again led the Spartans in scoring, pouring in a career-high 18 points. Jaden Akins added 12 points, and Frankie Fidler rounded out the double-digit scorers with 10.
🔼 Home Finale. Michigan State volleyball plays its final home match of the season today, welcoming Northwestern to the Breslin Center at 6 p.m. to celebrate Senior Night.
The Wildcats are 3-15 so far in Big Ten play and 5-21 overall.

🔼 Defying The Diagnosis. “I can either let this disease control me and make me a victim, or I can say that it’s something trying to get in my way, and I’m not going to let it do that.”
In February 2021, Matt Basgall was in and out of the hospital with strange symptoms, not knowing if he would be able to play hockey again.
Now, he refuses to let a rare diagnosis slow him down and is grateful to take the ice.
