🔼 B1G Things Coming. Michigan State men’s basketball head coach Tom Izzo, along with Jaden Akins, Xavier Booker and Tre Holloman, represented the Spartans on Thursday at Big Ten Media Day in Chicago!

🔼 West Coast Trip. It’s Michigan State football game day!

The Spartans are in Eugene, Oregon today for a 9 p.m. ET kickoff against No. 6 Oregon, the first Big Ten matchup between the two teams. Get ready for tonight’s game with us!

🔼 Rivalry Match. No. 5 Michigan State women’s soccer plays for bragging rights tomorrow, hosting in-state rival Michigan at 7 p.m. at DeMartin Stadium.

The Wolverines are 2-9-1 on the season and 1-4-0 in Big Ten play, while the Spartans are still unbeaten at 8-0-4 and 3-0-2 in conference action.

🔼 Puck Drop. No. 4 Michigan State hockey gets its season underway today, traveling to Sault Ste. Marie to play a two-game series against Lake Superior State.

The two teams matched up for last season’s opener as well, with the Spartans winning both games and outscoring the Lakers 9-4.

Game 1 will be played today at 6 p.m. and Game 2 puck drop will be tomorrow at 4 p.m.

🔼 Tackle The Terps. Carrying the momentum of two-straight Big Ten wins, Michigan State men’s soccer travels to College Park tomorrow to play at No. 12 Maryland at 7:30 p.m.

The Terrapins and Spartans currently own the top-two spots in the Big Ten standings, with 10 and 9 points, respectively.

🔼 Road Swing. Michigan State volleyball is on the road for a pair of matches this weekend, playing at Indiana today at 7 p.m. and at No. 10 Purdue on the Big Ten Network this Sunday at 7:30 p.m.

🔼 In A Flash. Michigan State field hockey plays its third consecutive game against a MAC opponent this weekend, welcoming Kent State to Ralph Young Field this Sunday at 1 p.m.

The Spartans have previously played Ball State and Miami (Ohio) during this stretch, beating both schools by a score of 2-1 in double overtime.

🔼 Road Race. Michigan State cross country runs its third race of the fall this weekend, traveling to South Bend to compete at the Joe Piane Invitational.

The Spartans are coming off an impressive showing at the Auto-Owners Insurance Spartan Invitational, where the men picked up a win and the women a runner-up finish.

🔼 Fall Ball. Michigan State men’s golf is also in South Bend this weekend, teeing it up at the Fighting Irish Classic at the Warren Golf Course.

Play will begin on Sunday and conclude on Monday.
