🔼 Regular Season Next. Michigan State men’s basketball wrapped up its two-game preseason schedule on Tuesday, beating Ferris State, 85-67, at the Breslin Center!
Frankie Fidler led the Spartans in scoring with 14 points, followed by Coen Carr (12) and Xavier Booker (10) in double figures. Jaxon Kohler was also a big contributor with nine points and 11 rebounds.
The Spartans tip off the regular season on Monday at home against Monmouth at 7 p.m.

🔼 Point Taken. Michigan State picked up a point on the road yesterday, playing No. 1 Ohio State to a 2-2 draw in Columbus.
The Spartans took a second-half lead against the top-ranked Buckeyes thanks to goals from Sean Kerrigan and Richie Ludwig in the 63rd and 66th minutes, respectively. Ohio State found the equalizer in the 79th minute to salvage a draw.
Michigan State closes out its regular season on Sunday at home against Rutgers at 1 p.m.

🔼 Fantastic Freshman. Michigan State women’s soccer’s Kaleigh McPherson has been named the Big Ten Women’s Soccer Freshman of the Week!
McPherson is the first Spartan to win the award this season after scoring the game-winning goal In MSU’s 3-1 win over Purdue last weekend.

🔼 Shining Star. Michigan State hockey forward Tanner Kelly has been named the Big Ten Third Star of the Week!
Kelly collected a goal and an assist in both wins over Canisius this past weekend, including the game-winner on Friday.

🔼 Coach Izzo’s Homecoming. “He’s a class act and just a tribute to college basketball, and more importantly, how proud he is of being from this area. We’re awfully proud of having him involved in college basketball.”
Michigan State’s exhibition game at Northern Michigan was a special homecoming for head coach Tom Izzo, capped off with the retirement of his No. 10 jersey — a weekend filled with unforgettable moments.
