🔼 Top-Five Test. No. 4 Michigan State hockey gets a big early-season test this weekend, hosting No. 2 Boston College for a pair of games at Munn Ice Arena.

Puck drop for Game 1 is today at 6 p.m., with Game 2 to follow on Saturday at the same time.

This weekend will serve as the season opener for the Eagles.

🔼 Badger Battle. Michigan State men’s soccer is at home tonight, hosting No. 25 Wisconsin at 7 p.m. at DeMartin Stadium.

The Badgers are 6-3-1 overall on the season, but have earned just four points in Big Ten action so far at 1-3-1. The Spartans currently sit in third place in the conference standings with nine points.

Tonight’s match will serve as the Spartans’ Salute to Service — all active-duty military, veterans and first responders will receive complimentary admission with presentation of a valid ID.

🔼 All Square. No. 5 Michigan State women’s soccer played 90 scoreless minutes against Oregon on Thursday, playing the Ducks to a 0-0 draw in Eugene.

The Spartans took 19 shots to the Ducks’ 10, and had 13 corners compared to Oregon’s three.

🔼 Home Again. For the first time in six matches, Michigan State volleyball is at home this weekend, hosting both No. 3 Penn State and Illinois at the Breslin Center.

The Nittany Lions are yet to lose in Big Ten play at 4-0, while the Illini sit at 1-3.

🔼 Tee Time. Michigan State women’s golf heads south this weekend, playing in the Tar Heel Invitational at the Finley Golf Course in Chapel Hill, N.C.

When it opened in 1974, Munn was considered one of the premier collegiate hockey arenas in the nation—a reputation that still holds strong today. With its electric atmosphere and modern enhancements, Munn Ice Arena continues to stand among the top hockey venues in the country.

This season, Abbott and the Big Ten are pitting school against school in the largest blood donation competition of our lifetime to fight the largest blood shortage in a generation.

The Michigan State Blood Drive is on October 30th. Want Michigan State to win? Then don't give up. Give blood. Every donation scores one point for your school on the leaderboard.
