Both of the national preseason polls — USCHO.com and USA Hockey/The Rink Live have the Spartans at No. 4 in their preseason rankings.

🔼 Monday With The Media. Michigan State football head coach Jonathan Smith met with the media yesterday to discuss the Spartans’ upcoming matchup at No. 6 Oregon this weekend!

🔼 Cats At Our House. Michigan State men’s soccer is back home from its winning trip to UCLA over the weekend, and hosts Northwestern today at 8 p.m. at DeMartin Stadium.
The Wildcats are in search of their first Big Ten win this season, sitting at 5-4 overall but 0-3 in conference action.
Tuesday’s match will serve as Education Appreciation and Hispanic Heritage Night for the Spartans.
🔼 Midweek Matinee. Michigan State field hockey continues its MACtion run this week, hosting Miami (Ohio) today at 2 p.m. at Ralph Young Field and Kent State on Sunday at 1 p.m.
The Spartans are coming off a 2-1 double-overtime win at Ball State on Sunday, while the Redhawks fell 3-2 to Michigan their last time out.

🔼 Best For Last. Michigan State men’s golf’s best round at the Windon Memorial Classic came on the tournament’s final day, with the Spartans shooting 9-over to finish in 16th place.
Juan Velasquez was the top finisher for the Spartans, tying for 59th place at 13-over par.

🔼 Hall of Famer. Former Michigan State football head coach Mark Dantonio will officially be inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame at the National Football Foundation College Football Hall of Fame's 66th Annual Awards Dinner Dec. 10, 2024, at the Bellagio Resort & Casino in Las Vegas.
Take a look back at Dantonio’s amazing career at Michigan State, which included 114 wins, three Big Ten championships, two Big Ten Championship Game victories, Rose Bowl and Cotton Bowl wins, and an appearance in the 2015 College Football Playoff.
