🔼 Earned It. No. 18/15 Michigan State men’s basketball improved to 3-0 in Big Ten play over the weekend, earning a hard-fought victory over Ohio State in Columbus, 69-62.
Szymon Zapala led the way with 15 points, followed by Jaden Akins (14 points) and Coen Carr (11 points).
🔼 Walk-Off Homer. No. 1 Michigan State hockey earned yet another win on Saturday, but it was unlike the 16 others it had collected — Daniel Russell scored with 1.4 seconds remaining in overtime to give the Spartans a 4-3 win over Wisconsin in the Frozen Confines event at Wrigley Field.
Russell scored two goals in the contest, while Isaac Howard and Vladislav Lukashevich each scored once.
🔼 Off And Tumbling. No. 11 Michigan State gymnastics is 1-0, thanks to a dominant season-opening win over Western Michigan on Saturday, 196.850-194.675.
The Spartans’ 196.850 ranks third behind No. 1 Oklahoma (197.550) and No. 2 LSU (197.300) in NCAA season openers so far in 2025.
