🔼 MSU wins at MSG. No. 8 Michigan State men’s basketball was right at home at the world’s most famous arena over the weekend, beating Rutgers, 81-74, at Madison Square Garden.
Jase Richardson led the Spartans with a career-high 20 points, followed by Coen Carr (14 points) and Jaden Akins (12 points) in double figures. Michigan State is now 8-0 in Big Ten play and has won 12 games in a row.

🔼 Still On Top. In a battle between two of the top-four teams in the country, it was No. 2 Michigan State hockey that came away with a five-point weekend over No. 4 Minnesota.
The Spartans exploded on Friday night, winning 9-3 over the Gophers with eight skaters earning multiple points in the win. Maxim Štrbák contributed four assists for Michigan State. Saturday’s game was a 3-3 tie, with the Spartans earning a point thanks to a shootout win.
🔼 Bragging Rights. No. 21 Michigan State women’s basketball used a huge second half to pull away from rival No. 24 Michigan on Saturday, 88-58.
Down four points at halftime, the Spartans outscored the Wolverines by 34 points in the second half to earn their biggest victory ever in Ann Arbor. Theryn Hallock led the Spartans with 25 points, followed by Julia Ayrault (18), Grace VanSlooten (18) and Jaddan Simmons (11) in double figures.
🔼 Down In Texas. No. 17 Michigan State men’s tennis suffered its first loss of the spring on Sunday, falling 4-1 to No. 2 TCU in the ITA Kickoff Championship in Fort Worth, Texas.
The Spartans had beaten Liberty, 4-0, to advance to Sunday’s championship.

🔼 Winner, Winner. Michigan State women’s tennis was twice a winner at home this weekend, taking down Xavier, 4-3, on Friday and West Virginia, 6-1, on Sunday morning.
Liisa Vehviläinen, Amara Brahmbhatt and Hanna Tsitavets each won two singles matches over the course of the weekend.

🔼 Top-15 Triumph. No. 4 Michigan State gymnastics went on the road Friday night and picked up its second Big Ten victory on the season, winning 196.800-195.750 over No. 14 Ohio State.
Led by senior Gabrielle Stephen's 39.375 victory in the all-around, MSU captured at least a share of every event title. MSU's 196.800 was its third-highest team score of the season.

🔼 Mat Action. Michigan State wrestling fell at home to No. 7 Nebraska on Sunday, 38-3.
True freshman Mason Stewart (157 pounds) earned his first dual victory as a Spartan, winning 13-10 over the Cornhuskers’ Scott Robertson.
🔼 Track Time. Michigan State track and field earned three podium finishes this past weekend at the Crossroads of America Invitational in Indianapolis — Elle Adrian finished third in the women’s weight throw at 21.39m, Logan Allen finished second in the men’s 60m hurdles in 8.02 and Noah Sage finished second in the men’s 400m with a time of 47.00.
