Good morning, Spartans! The gymnastics team finished 2026 at No. 12, its fifth-straight top 15 final ranking!

🔼 No. 1! The men’s tennis team earned the No. 1 seed going into the Big Ten Tournament. MSU earned a first-round bye and will play its first match in the quarterfinals. The Spartans will face the winner of No. 9 seed Indiana and No. 8 seed Oregon on Thursday.

🔼 Runner-Up. The men’s golf team tied for second at The Muirfield Shootout. The Spartans shot 580 (+4) over two rounds. Ashton McCulloch led the Spartans in third place individually. He had a final score of 143(-1). Luke Mueller followed in fourth place.

🔼 Three-Peat. MSU gymnast Nikki Smith earned a trio of All-America honors at the 2026 NCAA Gymnastics Championship. Smith was recognized as a First Team All-American on beam and in the all-around, becoming the first gymnast in program history to earn first-team All-America honors at the NCAA Championships on beam and first MSU gymnast to ever earn postseason All-America honors in the all-around. Smith also collected a second-team nod on floor. 

🔼 Part 5. Men’s tennis player Ozan Baris was named the Big Ten Men’s Tennis Player of the Week. This marks his fifth time earning the honor in his collegiate career. Over the weekend, Baris went 4-0 in matches to help Michigan State clinch its share of the Big Ten title for the first time since 1967.
