🔼 Smart All-Around. The baseball team had five players selected by the College Sports Communicators for academic honors. Sam Busch, Joseph Dzierwa, Tate Farquhar, Ryan McKay and Dominic Planto were all recognized with 2025 Academic All-District Accolades. The award recognizes the athletes’ combined success in the classroom and on the field.
🔼 Trailblazing Spartan. We have 84 days until Michigan State football is back on the field for its season opener on Friday, August 29 against Western Michigan!
The No. 84 was worn by one of the most legendary Spartans of all-time, Gene Washington. A trailblazer in the sport, Washington played at Michigan State from 1964-66, was a First Team All-American and All-Big Ten in both 1965 and 1966, and was elected into the College Football Hall of Fame in 2011.
